DJ Akademiks is having a rough week. The internet celebrity was sued on May 14 for rape and defamation. Meek Mill shared his thoughts via X (formerly Twitter), calling out academics for reporting on bad behavior by rappers while allegedly committing similar acts. This proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Ak took a swipe at the Philadelphia rapper during his Twitch stream at night.
The internet celebrity isn’t stopping Meek Mill. Not only did he claim that Meek is done, he also confirmed that he loves seeing the rapper’s new music bricked. “If I see you at the top of the leaderboard, believe me, I’m having a bad day,” the academician said. “I laughed, I had a good time, I kicked my feet up and I admit your career is less than six feet.” He even said he played a role in killing Mick’s career. “Your career is not coming back,” he added. “I killed it. Drake killed it. The game killed it.”

DJ Akademiks voices Meek Mill’s “Weirdo”
DJ Akademiks has brought up an incident a decade ago when Meek Mill slighted him, claiming the rapper should think twice about disrespecting him again. “I can buy any car you can buy, nigger,” he asserted. “Any house you can get, I can get. I get the same money, what are you talking about… You deserve respect.”
It doesn’t stop there. DJ Akademiks explains why he despises Meek, then reveals info about the Philly rapper. He claimed that Meek unfollowing him on X was a big deal, but he continued to follow other people in Ak’s life. “You blocked me and stalked my ex, you’re a weirdo,” he said. “Remember, you said your bitches have more followers than me.” Ak went on to claim that he took $1 million from Meek’s label budget because his performance was so bad, but Meek would never do something like that to him.
The final touch of the Twitch stream was DJ Akademiks quoting lines from Drake’s “Back to Back.” He adopted Drizzy’s statement about Meek’s “Twitter finger” and declared that the platform is where the rapper will spend the rest of his life. “You’re literally going to be on Twitter for the rest of your fucking life,” he yelled at the screen. “Goodbye to the charts.” Akademiks has a lot of issues at the moment, but if there’s one thing fans can’t question, it’s his hatred of Meek Mill.
