Dj Akademiks Claims Cam'ron Beat Jay Z In 2000s Rap Battle

Another day, another hit from DJ Akademik. The internet celebrity hasn’t had the best month in terms of public perception. His choice of rapper Drake to win in the Kendrick Lamar battle effectively lost, with Ake himself being accused of sexual assault in a lawsuit. However, he hasn’t let it slow down his live schedule or his tendency to frustrate hip-hop fans. Shortly after attacking Meek Mill and claiming he ended the Philly rapper’s career, Ak claimed Cam’ron beat Jay-Z back in the 2000s.

“I think Cam beat Jay,” Ake asserted. “I know they didn’t really fight like that, but I always thought he pissed off Jay-Z.” The song Ak was referring to was “You Gotta Love It,” from his 2006 album Killa Season. As far as internet celebrities go, Camron beats all the competition with his style and sense of humor. “When we got Cameron [and] Max B disses Jay, like “You’re wearing open-toed sandals and jeans.” Come on. It was all over for me,” the academician recalled.

DJ Academics Consider Cam’ron’s Diss More Memorable

He went on to diss on his own stream before claiming he wanted Drake to take more of Cam’s approach in his fight with Kendrick Lamar. “I’m telling you, Cam got the joke,” he pointed out. “Cam is bigger. Him and Rick Ross…that’s disgusting to me. That’s how I want Drake to start! You’re the GOAT, man.” Thanks to the It Is What It Is podcast and his appearance on Cam’ron’s bizarre interview on CNN is as relevant now as ever, but the rapper has already softened his relationship with Jay-Z. Rappers signed to Roc-A-Fella fell into a cold war over slights from both sides.

Fortunately, they were able to crush their beef in the late 2010s. Camron discussed his relationship with Jay during an interview with Million Dollaz Worth of Game and detailed his invitation to perform with the rapper at a 2019 concert. “Jay called and he said, ‘Yo, first of all I want to tell you, I respect you,’ and I said, ‘Me too, bro,'” Camron recalled. “We just expressed our love for each other, but we kept it a secret. No one in a million years would have thought of that.”
