DJ Akademiks has been one of the top sources of insider information on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud. Overall, this makes a lot of sense when you consider how friendly Drake is with Ake. In fact, Drizzy was the one who informed the Academicians that Family Matters would be released on Friday night. At this stage, fans are curious to see if the Canadian star will make another film appearance. The Akademiks are teasing a new song, while Drake was rather coy on his Instagram page. That said, no one knows exactly what will happen.
Akademiks took to Twitter today to share a message with fans. It’s a mystery, as he simply says “Appreciate the silence. What comes after the silence is usually great.” Ultimately, fans don’t really know what that means. For all we know, it can have multiple meanings. That being said, Drake does seem to have an idea up his sleeve. Heart Six isn’t for a lot of people, who would have liked him ending the fight with something more powerful.

Having said all that, in the song “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar made it clear that he has 10 diss songs ready. If that’s the case, Drake might want to delay further feuding. After all, “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us” were definitely harsh, and if this continues down a dark path, both artists’ reputations could be further tarnished.
