Diddy’s latest lawyer is a sexual assault survivor who was raped in 2001 on the Stuido party’s cash currency record.
Didi adds new attorney to the legal team
On May 6 (May 6), Diddy joined his legal team for another attorney in his sex crimes, appointing Atlanta attorney Nicole Westmoreland. Westmoreland was the victim of rape when he was 19 years old 24 years ago, according to court documents obtained by XXL on Wednesday (May 7). At the time, she worked for a business that helped people recover their suspended driver’s license. In December 2001, she was invited by Cash Money Records Ceo Birdman to hold a competition meeting at Patchwork Studios in Atlanta to help his artists. At the meeting, Westmoreland claimed it was eventually a party, and she went to the bathroom and then a man named Alfred Cleveland, who went on to rape her.
Westmoreland introduced the incident to police, and Cleveland was arrested and later pleaded guilty to aggravate the attack for rape. Westmoreland sued cash currency and patchwork studios but lost the summary judgment. She appealed the ruling, but her appeal was dismissed in 2008.
XXL has contacted cash currency representatives.
Westmoreland is the latest attorney to join Didi’s legal team. Brian Steel, who was the lead attorney in the YSL RICO case, was joined by the legal staff last month. Westmoreland’s appointment comes three weeks after TMZ reports that Puff is looking for a black female lawyer.
