Diddy has been transferred to prison, where he will serve a 50-month sentence, and has reportedly started his first job behind bars: washing prisoners’ clothes.
On Thursday (October 30), Pav’s request was approved and he transferred to Fort Dix FCI in New Jersey. The Bad Boy Entertainment founder has been assigned to work in a laundromat as his first official job, TMZ reported on Friday (October 31).
After his arrest last September, Diddy spent 13 months in the notorious Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center pleading his case. In July, he was acquitted at trial of more serious charges of conspiracy to commit racketeering and sex trafficking, but was found guilty of two counts of transportation for prostitution. In October, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison.
The judge also imposed a $500,000 fine, including jail costs, the Inner City Press reported. There was no return, but as reflected in the order, there was confiscation. Under the statute, there is a fine of $5,000 and a special assessment of $200.
After the sentencing, Pugh’s attorneys asked that he be sent to the lower-security Fort Dix prison “to address substance abuse issues and maximize family visitation and rehabilitation.”
Diddy’s release date is currently listed as May 8, 2028.
