Diddy has filed to have Rodney Jones’ lawsuit dismissed, claiming Jones was simply trying to pressure Puff into reaching a settlement.
Diddy files to dismiss lawsuit
On Monday (August 26), XXL obtained a motion filed by Diddy’s legal team in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The motion claims that Jones’ troubling lawsuit – which was amended in March to accuse Puff of sex trafficking and being part of a “RICO enterprise” – is nothing more than an “ordinary business disagreement” that Jones is trying to exploit. A lewd RICO conspiracy.”
“It runs to nearly 100 pages and includes countless tall tales, outrageous celebrity names and irrelevant images,” the motion reads. [Jones] Failure to assert a single viable claim against any of the Coombs defendants.
Regarding the sex trafficking charges, Diddy’s team disputed Jones’ assertion that he was the victim of “any commercial sex act.”
“The complaint did not explain [Trafficking Victims Protection Act] claims against Coombs Global, either directly or indirectly, because there is no allegation that Coombs Global engaged in or benefited from any commercial sexual conduct involving Jones,” the motion reads.
Rodney Jones claimed in the original lawsuit filed in February that Diddy sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him while he was working with the embattled mogul on “The Love Album: Off the Grid.” Paff’s latest motion calls Jones’ allegations vague and says Jones cannot recall any specific instances of sexual harassment.
“Mr. Jones’ lawsuit is pure fiction,” Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolfe said in a statement shared with XXL. “There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked. We look forward to proving in court that all of Mr. Jones’ allegations are fabricated and must be dismissed.”
Jones is requesting a jury trial and seeking unspecified damages. When contacted for comment, Jones’ attorney Tyrone Blackburn told XXL: “This is nothing more than a billable exercise by Sean Combs’ latest group of lawyers. After he was arrested, It was a feeble attempt to line their own pockets before indicting, and they decided to do just as five lawyers before him had done.
Blackburn added that the salacious nature of the lawsuit is simply because the facts are disturbing.
Blackburn added: “I wouldn’t have any obscene documents to file if their clients hadn’t engaged in obscene behavior. I choose my clients; I don’t choose their facts.” “Please note, Sean Ku James did not provide an affidavit, and Justin Coombs did not plead that Rodney Jones filed one under penalty of perjury as to the truthfulness of the matters alleged in the document.

Rodney Jones accuses Diddy of abuse and unpaid work
Jones filed the lawsuit in February, alleging widespread abuse by the mogul while the producer lived at Paff’s home from September 2022 to November 2023.
“Throughout his time with Mr. Combs, Mr. Jones witnessed, experienced and endured numerous events that extended well beyond his role as a producer on the ‘Love’ album,” court documents read. On several occasions, Mr. Coombs asked Mr. Jones to record him. Mr. Coombs took Mr. Jones’ cellphone and began recording himself. As a result, Mr. Jones obtained hundreds of hours of footage of Mr. Jones. recording.
The lawsuit also names Nicki Minaj as the girlfriend of a “Philly rapper” whom Diddy told Jones he had sex with. Jones also claimed that he saw the same rapper “engaging with underage girls” on Diddy’s yacht with Puff.
This is just one of many legal actions Diddy has faced over the past few months due to alleged violent and illegal behavior in her past.
