Diddy’s attorney, Mark Agnifilo, insists the federal lawsuit against the music mogul is an attempt to bring down a successful black man.
Diddy’s lawyer speaks out on case
On September 26, TMZ aired another clip from their interview with Agnifilo, which is featured in the new documentary “The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment.” In the interview, Agnifilo claimed that racism was a factor in Diddy’s legal problems.
“Let’s turn our attention to government. In my opinion, I’m just going to say, historically, I’m not a friend of successful black people,” Agnifilo told TMZ’s Harvey Levin. “It seems to me that they’re starting to view this case as a suppression of a successful black man.”
He continued: “This is the government scrutinizing his business. His business is fine. Scrutinizing his taxes. He pays his taxes. He’s doing everything right. What’s the last trace? We’re going to get into him bedroom. We’re going to be in his bedroom because maybe we don’t like the way he makes love.
Agnifilo has been very vocal about the bragging case after the embattled music mogul was arrested and indicted earlier this month on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation for prostitution. Many of the original sound bites come from his aforementioned documentary interviews. Agnifilo drew widespread attention last week when she tried to defend Diddy’s hiding of 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube when authorities raided his home in March.

Diddy could face more than 100 civil lawsuits
In addition to criminal cases, Didi also faces numerous civil cases. That number could swell to more than 100 after Texas attorney Tony Buzbee announced earlier this week that he is representing 120 people who plan to sue Diddy and his associates for sexual abuse. The youngest alleged victim was 9 years old at the time of the incident, Buzbee reported.
Diddy’s team released a statement refuting the claims. “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every baseless accusation in a reckless media circus,” the statement read. “That being said, Mr. Combs He categorically denies any allegation that he sexually abused anyone, including minors, as false and defamatory. He looks forward to proving his innocence and defending himself in court, and the truth will be based on evidence rather than facts. Sure.
If Dee Dee is found guilty in the criminal case, he faces the possibility of life in prison.
