Puff Daddy may be facing a lot of legal issues due to various accusations of sexual assault, abuse, and sex trafficking, but AllHipHop still voices him from time to time. Additionally, there are new developments in the assault lawsuit filed against him by Joi Dickerson-Neal, who claims he assaulted her in 1991 . Apparently, both parties had reached an understanding, and a motion to fire Sean Combs’ legal team was filed on April 26.
Additionally, the reason behind the firings was reportedly that Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings and Combs Enterprises did not exist when the alleged assault occurred. Dickson-Neal filed an amendment to her complaint that dropped all charges against the companies, and it was signed by her attorneys and a judge earlier this week. Diddy is now the only defendant in the case and has until June 21 of this year to file a response to the amended complaint. Dickson-Neal, on the other hand, has until July 19 to raise any objections, and he has until August 2 to respond in support of his motion.

Regardless of those rules, it remains an open case alleging Diddy drugged and assaulted Dickson-Neal without her consent in 1991, when Dickson-Neal was a student at Syracuse University . He denies any wrongdoing alleged in this and other lawsuits. The bad boy mogul’s legal team has argued that some of the allegations of sex trafficking and non-consensual filming arise under laws that did not exist at the time of the alleged incidents. As of press time, these and all other charges include approximately seven lawsuits filed against him.
However, there is a chance that these charges could become criminal charges, as a grand jury is reportedly investigating Diddy’s conduct. Given the recent video of him assaulting Cassie, it’s likely there will now be more scrutiny and attention to detail on the suits. That could work for the New York native or against him, but either way, it’s a bad look for his public image. We’ll see what else happens to push this scandal forward.
