Diddy is facing a federal investigation after publicly accusing him of sexual misconduct — an investigation that is reportedly now trying to figure out what he did at a Miami hotel.
TMZ reports that federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York have subpoenaed an (unnamed) hotel in Florida. They requested records involving Diddy and his ex, Daphne Joy, dating back to 2008.
The subpoena not only seeks information about the time Diddy and Joy spent there, but also how they paid, contact information, IP addresses, hotel surveillance footage and more.
Media reports say the subpoenas were issued within the past few weeks, so the investigation into Diddy appears to be ongoing.
This isn’t the first time the federal government has collected information about Diddy. Back in March, his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by the Department of Homeland Security.
A representative for Homeland Security Investigations told TMZ at the time: “Earlier today, as part of an ongoing investigation, Homeland Security Investigations New York conducted an enforcement operation with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners. . We will provide further information as it becomes available.
The case is reportedly being handled by the Southern District of New York and involves multiple sexual harassment and misconduct allegations recently filed against Diddy.
The day after the raid, Dee Dee’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, released a statement.
“Yesterday, military force was grossly excessive when executing a search warrant at Mr. Coombs’ residence,” the letter reads. “There is no excuse for the excessive force and hostility displayed by the authorities, or for the manner in which his children and employees were treated. . Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke with and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor his family were arrested and there were no restrictions on their ability to travel. , coupled with an advanced, coordinated media presence, resulted in premature judgments against Mr. Coombs and was nothing more than a witch hunt based on baseless accusations in a civil lawsuit. None of these accusations have been found to be criminal or civil. Responsibility. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight for his innocence every day.
