Houston attorney Tony Buzbee announces that “well over” 100 victims of Sean “Diddy” Combs will file lawsuits accusing him of rape , sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
According to Fox 26 Houston, Buzbee will provide details of the claim at a press conference on Tuesday (October 1) at 1:00 pm CST. Attorneys will share some of the alleged victim’s accounts as well as details of the lawsuit and any other alleged perpetrators.
“This is an important matter that we intend to pursue aggressively,” Buzbee said. “We will spare no effort to identify all potentially responsible parties, including any person or entity who participated in or benefited from this egregious conduct.”
The attorney also shared the sexual assault hotline number: 1-800-200-7474, asking victims and witnesses to come forward.
Last week, Buzbee revealed he represented more than 50 people, but that number is expected to grow. Fox 5 New York reported that the imprisoned hip-hop mogul may also face new criminal charges.
Alleged victim claims she was drugged and beaten by Diddy and another man
The alleged victims include both men and women, with one woman claiming Diddy and another man sexually assaulted her at a party in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2018.
The woman’s lawyer, Ariel Mitchell, told the outlet: “She had a drink that we believe is now spiked because she said she started to feel dizzy. “Then Mr Coombs turned on her. A sexual assault was carried out, first with an inanimate object and then a man came over and assaulted my client.”
The woman managed to escape and was helped by neighbors before reporting the incident to police. “She did call the police because she did have a traumatic escape,” Mitchell explained.
Diddy remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York, awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for prostitution. He pleads not guilty.
Although he requested bail of $50 million, bail was twice denied. However, according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Didi’s legal team filed a notice of appeal on Monday (September 30) regarding his bail.
In a new documentary, Didi’s attorney, Mark Agnifilo, confirms that Didi will not accept the plea deal and says he is trying to get his client to trial “as quickly as possible.”
He added, “He’s so focused on righting this wrong that it actually gives him a strength and confidence that I think will help him get through this difficult time.”
