Thanks to Fredo Bang, Dee-1 and Meek Mill have settled each other nearly three years after the first public conflict in 2023.
On Tuesday (February 25), Dee-1 appeared in a new interview with Revolt News, during which he and Meek became connected and had a “heart-to-heart” at the Super Bowl Lix celebration in New Orleans earlier this month.
According to rapper and activist Dee-1, he and his Philadelphia rapper were able to reconcile meaningfully with each other after an impromptu meeting at a nightclub. Dee-1 begins to describe his Louisiana man Fredo Bang for the encounter, which is actually the last moment he learns of Meek in his city.
“I just saw Meek Mill at the club during the Super Bowl in New Orleans,” Dee-1 shared.

While Dee-1 is not a regular club person, he explains why that night was exceptional.
“I went to the club because they told me Meek Mill was going there that night,” he said. “If he had a chance to go in my city and I had to go to the club and connect with the people he face to have a conversation across from Man.”
Dee-1 continued, thanks to Baton Rouge rapper Fredo Bang for ensuring the meeting went smoothly in the Super Bowl madness.
“Screaming to my brother Fredo Bang because he personally knows gentleness,” Dee-1 said. “He promoted it to make sure it was good. I went, walked by, Mick had about 25 people.”
Dee-1 added: “We gave a speech from Manle in the middle of the club. I love Meek Mill for this.”
Commenting on their discussion, Dee-1 acknowledged in addressing wider issues affecting the black community that Mick’s perspective had evolved.
“I’ve been like this all my career – now the mill has grown and what he’s seeing is, ‘dang, they do get something in our culture,'” “But Meek Mill is deeper than me.”
Dee-1 also noted that while they may not see everything, the dialogue cultivates new respect between them.
He said, “When two people can talk, ‘Yo, I hear your heart, you hear my heart, ‘We don’t even agree, but we have to respect each other more than each other,” he said.
DEE-1 has been in touch with Meek since the meeting and continues to take root for his growth and influence.
“Since then, I texted him, and it’s where I cheered for this brother because a better gentle mill equals a better black community.”
Dee-1 shared the clip in a comment on Rebel News and commented on his optimism about the future of his relationship with Meek.
“Communication leads to unity,” he wrote. “Scream to @meekmill and my brother @fredobang. The shift is happening.”
