Earlier this week, DDG prepared a pretty cool gift for his girlfriend and mother of his son, Halle Bailey, to celebrate the singer’s birthday.
The Little Mermaid star turned 24 on Wednesday (March 27) and DDG surprised her with a diamond-encrusted Rolex ahead of her family’s trip to the tropics.
“Oh my God, what the hell! Are you serious!” Halle can be seen saying in disbelief in a video uploaded to DDG’s YouTube channel, titled “Surprising Halle got the best birthday present ever!!”
She was still shocked when he placed the gold coin on her wrist, although they eventually decided she needed to give her another link to wear it properly.
DDG and Halle Bailey welcomed their first child late last year, and they recently became the epitome of proud parents when they shared Halo’s reaction to her first words.
In a video posted on social media, the couple captured a heartwarming interaction with their child as they encouraged him to speak his first words.
The Michigan-born rapper/internet personality can be heard repeating “Dada” multiple times while Halo coos and kicks in excitement. After several failed attempts, Harlow finally responded to his father’s voice: “Dad.”
DDG and Halle let out squeals of excitement in unison for their son’s special milestone.
“My son’s first words!! He said Daddy!!!! [crying face, red heart emoji],” DDG captioned the clip. “OMG, stick around until the end [crying face emoji]”.
The clip follows a series of heartwarming moments with their son that the new parents shared on social media, including a touching interaction that showcased their love and joy as a family.
DDG makes Halle Bailey cry as he creates his own awards show
During a livestream earlier this month, DDG presented his partners with adorable awards like “Best Cat Sitter” and “Best Female.”
Later, he proudly brought out baby Halo to present the final award.
The Die 4 Respect rapper told Halle in his best childlike voice: “I want to give this award to the best person ever… This award goes to the one and only Halle Bailey! Best Mom Award!”
The pair announced Halo’s birth in January after months of speculation that Halle Bailey was pregnant.
