Dame Dash Speeches Roc-A-Fella Auction Ends
Dame shared a new video on his America Nu Network YouTube channel on Monday (November 18) about the sale of his stake in Roc-A-Fella Records to the state of New York for $1 million. Millions of dollars are a far cry from each other. The Roc co-founder claimed that no one other than Jay-Z’s attorney was present at the auction.
“At the end of the day, I really don’t understand it,” Dame says around 11 minutes into the video below. “I figured, my child support would be paid. In my mind, I wasn’t getting any bread anyway. If I could sell it, I think people would really enjoy it. [Jay-Z] A lot more than they did. People didn’t show up. Drake did offer $6 million and then disappeared. It’s on my DMs. I don’t know what happened. But other than that, no one wants that kind of thing.

New York State owns one-third of Roc-A-Fella Records
In February, a judge ordered Dame Dash to sell one-third of its stake in Roc-A-Fella in order to pay back an $823,000 court judgment to filmmaker Josh Webber. The event was initially scheduled for August 29. The New York Department of Social Services has also stepped in, saying Dame owes $223,000 in child support. The state plans to sell shares to recoup money owed to Dame.
Back in September, Dem claimed that Drake privately messaged him with an offer to buy shares. However, the boy seemed to have changed his mind.
XXL has reached out to Drake’s team for comment.
