Coi Leray welcomes her first child, a baby girl named Miyoco, marking an important milestone in her life and career. The rapper, known for hits like “The Player,” shared the news on Monday (June 16) and posted a photo on her Instagram story showing off her daughter’s little hand grabbing her finger.
Although she retains many details, the image captures Leray’s first moment as a mother by giving fans a glimpse of Miyoco in a soft pink polo dress. The baby’s father is rapper Trippie Redd, with whom Coi Leray had a high-profile relationship before he was born.
Throughout her pregnancy, Leray publicly documented her journey, from the vibrant Hello Kitty-themed baby shower (the name Miyoco first appeared in the decoration) to her reflection on her upcoming mother and her transformation in life.
Despite breaking up with Trippie Redd earlier this year, Leray expressed her gratitude and determination and said she wanted to set a strong example for her daughter. The couple’s relationship has been controversial at best since January since COI accused Trippie of cheating. “Nothing is worse than being cheated. I don’t want my biggest enemy to suffer this pain.” Although neither publicly confirmed their breakup, they seemed to have gone in all directions sometime between January and April this year.
