Claressa Shields has revealed her desire for Remy Ma has absolutely nothing to do with her romance rumors with Papoose.
In a teaser for the world champion boxer’s upcoming interview with Jemele Hill, Shields Jr. took to Instagram to express her true dissatisfaction with Remy Ma. The topic came up when she and Hill began discussing her $100,000 challenge to any woman who could beat her in a fight. In response, Shields confirmed that no one had come forward, but quickly revealed that she would be fighting Remy Ma for a fraction of the price his challenge was advertised for.
However, Shields explained to Hill that her eagerness to confront the New York rap veteran stemmed not directly from their mutual interest in Paps, but rather from a very specific grievance about Remima’s invasion of her privacy. .
“That’s when the girl leaked my phone number,” Shields revealed. “So now you can give me a dollar and I’ll put my hands on her.”

Shields continued, making a point of saying that her issues with Remima were strictly professional.
“It has nothing to do with anything else,” she said. “It’s just that part. This part is like I’m a businesswoman. Don’t give out my phone number.
The champion later expressed her disbelief at the behavior.
“Why do you do that?” she asked rhetorically, adding: “I mean, drama sells. I’m not in that beef. I smoked with her and was posting my number.
Shields finally dismissed rumors that her anger was fueled by personal drama stemming from her alleged romantic entanglement with Paps.
“So people will say, ‘Oh, she wants to fight her over a guy, no matter what,’ stop doing that,” she added, “stop doing that. That’s just not me.
Shields attacked Remi Ma several times on social media during a spat with her earlier this month before challenging her to the ring. Notorious social media troll 50 Cent warned Shields to stay away from Remy Ma, who spent six years in prison following a 2007 shooting involving a former friend.
“Whatever you do, don’t fight her,” 50 Cent wrote in his post. “She’s going to win the championship!”
