Chrisean Rock is contesting assault and battery charges in a lawsuit filed against her by Tamar Braxton’s friend James Wright. According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, Chrisean Rock pleads guilty to causing “multiple bodily injuries” during a backstage argument at a concert in November 2023.
The controversial rapper/reality star suspects that Wright “suffered extreme mental anguish and severe emotional distress, as well as physical pain and suffering.” Christian Rock also claimed that Wright’s “conduct and conduct” that prevented him from recovering any damages from her.
Wright sued Chrisean Rock in February, charging him with assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Christian Rock allegedly assaulted Wright after she wasn’t allowed to perform at Braxton’s show.
“Defendant cried and was visibly frustrated as she stated that everyone was lying about her not being where she was supposed to be in the performance,” Wright’s lawsuit states. “Plaintiff believes… and alleges that Defendant was responsible for her role that night. Braxton said Wright “got slapped in the face for being nice to guests.” Wright accused Chris Ann Locke of using a homophobic slur after attacking him.
“Defendant became upset with Plaintiff and stated that she would hit him if he ever said she was not where she was supposed to be again,” the lawsuit explains. “Plaintiff politely told Defendant, ‘I assure you, you are not on stage one.
