Chris Brown is suing Warner Bros. Discovery for $500 million over its role in the documentary “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.” The singer made sexual assault accusations.
Keith Brown files massive lawsuit
On Tuesday (January 21), CB announced that it was taking WBD to court via a press release shared on Chris’ Instagram page.
“Despite being informed of false and misleading narratives alleging that Mr. Brown committed heinous acts, including sexual assault and tampering with evidence, which were discredited and deemed baseless in court, the defendants in 2024 “The documentary was released on October 27, 2019 without regard for Mr. Brown, putting profits over journalistic integrity,” the memo reads. “They did this to boost ratings and revenue, play up debunked claims, and recklessly damage Mr. Brown’s reputation and spread false information to the public. To be clear, Mr. Brown was never found guilty of any type of Sex crimes.
Brown’s lawsuit specifically cites allegations made by Chantel Descia Frank in the documentary. Frank sued the singer in January 2022, claiming she was sexually assaulted by Brown on Diddy’s yacht in 2021.
“These include allegations of violent and criminal behavior, such as alleged sexual assault and tampering with evidence, that have been discredited, dismissed by courts, or completely fabricated,” the lawsuit states.
Chris Brown is seeking $500 million in damages.
