On Monday (September 30), Investigation Discovery, the network behind the “Quiet on Set” and “Diddy” documentary series, announced a new documentary called “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.” A new accuser has spoken publicly for the first time in ID documents that explore sexual assault, domestic violence and sexual assault allegations against the controversial singer.

“I’m not talking about it publicly, but it’s the only way to stop him,” his unidentified accuser says in the trailer.
Brown has been involved in numerous acts of violence during his career. His most notorious incident was his attack on Rihanna. In 2009 he pleaded guilty to one count of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Earlier this year, Brown and members of his entourage were accused in a lawsuit of assaulting four concertgoers. His lawyers claim he was framed and unfairly targeted.
“Why were these people backstage near Chris’ locker room?” attorney Levi G. McCathern said in July. “Their sole purpose was to anger him and his team and create a record of litigation…Chris never initiated physical contact with anyone.”

“Chris Brown: A History of Violence” is scheduled to premiere on October 27.
“Throughout my career, I have always prioritized being a staunch defender of women and children,” Hostin said. “Domestic violence is a very personal issue for me as I look back on my own past as a prosecutor on such cases, as well as my role as a mother and public figure whose actions inform and help shape the next generation. This issue is a universal epidemic that knows no socioeconomic lines, so I am committed to expanding and continuing this important conversation, and the more we understand, the better we can help advocate for social change.
“Chris Brown: A History of Violence” is part of ID’s “No Excuse for Abuse” campaign.
