Childish Gambino will be hitting the road soon, most likely in support of his recently announced two new albums.
The multidisciplinary artist took to Instagram on Monday (April 22) to share a plain black image with a rainbow line on one side and the words “The New World Tour” in the middle.
In his caption, he let fans know they can sign up for ticket information and updates on his website.
The site mirrors images posted on Instagram and has no further information at this time – it just offers a box for fans to submit their email addresses.
Earlier this month, during the premiere of his GILGA radio show, Gambino announced plans to release new music.
The first of two projects, Atavista, is an updated version of his 2020 project 3.15.20, which features alternative song titles and a guest contribution from Young Nudy. The second track, titled “Bandolstone and the New World,” will serve as the soundtrack to Donal Glover’s ongoing film of the same name. This would be his last album under the “Childish Gambino” moniker.
In the same episode, the rapper and actor addressed the shady comments Cardi made a few weeks ago, in which he responded “I’m cool” to a fan who suggested the two work together.
In response, the 40-year-old said: “Kid Cudi, if you have a problem, I’m not here for beef. Talk to me. Do talk to people.
“We don’t have to agree on everything, but we also don’t have to say, ‘Yeah, we have to want to kill each other when I see you.'” Like, I don’t — man, life’s too short .
During the show’s second episode, he played unreleased music while sharing new details about his upcoming plans.
In an untitled song he debuted with Kanye West, the two trade bars over a futuristic beat, with the latter rapping about JAY-Z, “New God Flow” and a potential “Watch the Throne” sequel: “N-ggas waiting on The Throne” Like Hov said yeah/I got my shoes out of the store, they’re the new Payless/That’s the new God Flow, but I ain’t prayin’ less,” Yee gushed.
He also mentioned rapper-turned-OnlyFans star Rubi Rose and BBLs, suggesting his verse isn’t that old.
Gambino, meanwhile, sang about what happened late last year when Draymond Green choked Rudy Gobert.
He also performed on a song with Cudi, reportedly titled “Warlords,” which was previously leaked in 2021.
