Childish Gambino is back with his new album Atavista which comes packed with some huge features.
The rapper/singer (real name Donald Glover) unexpectedly released the project on Monday (May 13), kicking off an incredibly busy year in music.
Atavista is the “finished” version of his album 3.15.20, which was released in March 2020 and has since been removed from the streaming platform.
This new version features official song titles, redesigned tracks, and a slightly shortened tracklist. Young Nudy and Summer Walker will also bring new vocals, along with previous guests 21 Savage, Ariana Grande, Ink and Kadhja Bonet.
Childish Gambino announced that Atavista will be coming to X, and also previewed an upcoming vinyl version, with visuals for each song.
“ATAVISTA is live now,” he wrote. “This album is the finished version of the album “3.15.20” that I released four years ago. Each song will have a special vinyl record with accompanying visuals.
Additionally, Beano has confirmed that his next album – which he previously revealed is titled “Bando Stone & The New World” and serves as the soundtrack to the film of the same name he’s developing – will be released this summer.
The album was billed as his last under his rap name.

Little Feet, Big Feet Video:…
— Donald (@donaldglover) May 13, 2024
The Atlanta-based creator ended his post by sharing a link to his new music video for “Little Foot Big Foot,” which stars Nudy.
The dramatic black-and-white short, set in the early 1900s, features a guest appearance by Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson.
In the clip, Childish Gambino and two backup actors sing and dance in a bar in front of an unimpressed audience. However, the mood changes when a man is accidentally shot and killed.
The film is directed by longtime Gambino collaborator Hiro Murai, who previously worked on visual effects for “3005,” “Sweatpants,” “Telegraph Avenue,” “Awake” and “This Is America.” Murai also worked with Glover on “Atlanta” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
