After a series of delays, Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 is finally here.
It’s a big moment for Keef fans, especially considering the album is pitched as a sequel to 2013’s Almighty So.
Anticipation for the sequel dates back to 2019, when Keef first revealed its artwork. Of course, the artwork has gone through multiple iterations since then, and the latest one comes packaged just right for DSP.
The album features 16 tracks, all produced by Sosa, and a large part of it features Keef gliding over high-energy trap and drill-inspired beats that feature staccato hi-hats, shimmering arpeggios and piercing horns. There are also different ring part variations seen in the arrangement of different tracks on the album – arguably the most on track “1,2,3” – where Keef takes over the top three spots.
The album also features diverse features including Sexyy Red, G Herbo, Tierra Whack, Quavo, Ballout and Lil Gnar, attracting new-age audiences’ interest in fresh rap. However, is the wait of more than 5 years worth it? Find out for yourself below!
