Chingy faced some angry backlash for her planned appearance at a Republican event for Donald Trump Jr.
Chingy withdraws from Republican event performance in face of backlash
When it was discovered that Chingy was scheduled to perform at the Log Cabin Republican Red, White and Rock event in Nashville on September 29, he faced backlash from fans. General guest speeches.
Chingy jumped into the comments section of Baller Alert’s Instagram post on Saturday (September 21) to talk about his upcoming appearance at a Republican event. The “Right Seal” rapper stands by his decision to perform at the event, insisting he has no political alignment with Democrats or Republicans.
“I said it once. My job is to perform tasks and I get paid to perform tasks, not to care about politics. Now you can all do other things with your time,” Chingy wrote in the comments.
When a fan suggested Chingy be honest with them and just say he was broke, Rhymer responded: “You can’t be depressed when you just bought a half million pimp.”
“Those people don’t hate me because they love my music. Music is not racist, that’s how I play it,” he continued.
“All this crap you guys create doesn’t bother me,” he added. “I’m a performer and whether these people are political or gay or whatever – they all love music… I have classic records that they all love and I will perform for them. So I hope this helps you understand My job as an artist is to perform and create timeless music, and that’s what I do.
Finally, Chingy had enough of the criticism and announced that he would not perform at Republican events.
“You know why, because I don’t want to get into this mess. I’ve turned down the show, I’m not a Trump supporter or a supporter of anyone but Chingy. Wish you had it,” he wrote.

Several rappers support Donald Trump
Although Chingy insists he is not a supporter of Donald Trump, many of his rap peers support MAGA (Make America Great Again) and want Trump to become their next president in November.
Fivioforeign has been a Trump supporter for many years. In 2019, the Brooklyn troll posted a “Big Drip” video that featured a man wearing a custom MAGA hat. When asked about that moment in the 2020 video interview, he noted, “I’m not going to go against Trump.” Fevio was spotted at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
Lil Pump, meanwhile, spent much of the summer on X (formerly Twitter), heaping praise on Trump as the election cycle gained momentum. The South Florida rapper even launched into a vicious attack on Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, whom he called “the worst vice president in history.”
In August, Pump vowed to leave the country if Kamala was elected in November. “I swore to God on my father’s grave that if this stupid asshole Kamala Harris won the election, I would leave America, boy,” Pump said in a video posted on his social media account.
Finally, as a country, there has never been a more important presidential campaign—regardless of political affiliation—than the upcoming election on November 5.
