There are many ways for rappers to try to stand out from the crowd. A certain look is one thing that can attract fans’ attention. Covering one’s own face has been a shaky one for years and seems to be useful to several hip-hop artists.
Rapper wearing mask
MF Doom is one of the brightest examples of the masked rap Avengers, known for covering up his face behind the mask, similar to the mask worn by Marvel character Doctor Doom. Other rappers followed his steps too.
Recently, the mask trend has revived. In April, during a young thug’s first post-jail interview with GQ magazine, he wore a weird metal face covered in a feather accent.
“I don’t think people should see me,” he said of the strange disguise. “F** King Rebuild. Like, do something with a mask. Get a clear view. Like, I don’t know, hidden scars. Just hide things, you know?”
He has since been found wearing different animal masks on different occasions.
Youngboy never broke the cover of the Masa album again and found the Louisiana rapper wearing a green alien mask that looked like it was woven by someone’s grandmother.
“He dressed up like an alien sex slave,” one commented on X’s cover.
Young boy will never go bankrupt again
Dipset’s Juelz Santana has recently risen for performing in what people call a cut-cut mask. Many people compare with Damon Wayans’ role in the movie “Blank Man”.
