Cassie has released a statement, her first since the release of the shocking video of Diddy beating his ex-girlfriend.
She expressed gratitude for the support from family, friends, fans and strangers.
“Thank you to my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet for the love and support I have received,” Cassie wrote. “The outpouring of love created a place for my younger self to settle down and feel safe. , but this is just the beginning.”
Cassie continued, “Domestic violence was the problem. It broke me into a person I never thought I would be. After a lot of hard work, I am a better person today, but I will never be the same person I was. Recover from the shadows.
“My only request is that for the first time, everyone opens up to the victim they believe they are. It takes a lot of courage to tell the truth when there is nothing you can do,” Ventura wrote. “I reach out to those who are still living in fear. Reach out to your employees and don’t cut them off. No one should have to carry this weight alone.
“This healing journey never ends, but this support means everything to me,” she concluded in the post. Cassie alleged in a complaint filed in November 2023 that Diddy raped her in 2018 and subjected her to physical and other abuse for years over the course of their relationship.
