Cardi B surprised dozens of local moms on Monday night when she popped up at boyfriend Stefon Diggs’ first-ever “Winter Wonderland Wellness Event” at Gillette Stadium.
The multi-platinum rapper quietly joined in midway through a charity event for Patriots wide receivers. She elicited excited squeals from children and mothers who had no idea a special guest would be joining the night.
Diggs organizes wellness days through his Diggs Deep Foundation, offering spa treatments, guided yoga classes and children’s activities to mothers in New England. The event featured protein and grain bowl stations, and teammate Brenden Schooler was spotted enjoying the healthy options.
“Every year is a tough year, especially for moms. My mom is actually here today as a special guest,” Diggs said. “So I just wanted to have a wellness day, a gratitude day. Everybody works so hard and I’m so lucky, so passing that on is always a really important thing to me.”
Cardi B and Diggs posed for photos with fans before attending a yoga class together. The couple looked happy and relaxed as they stretched with grateful mothers.
At the end of the Winter Wonderland wellness event, families received gift bags and reminisced about an unexpected celebrity encounter that made their night extra special.
This is the second event hosted by the Diggs Deep Foundation for local families at Gillette Stadium. The nonprofit invited New England mothers and children to a similar celebration last month.
Cardi B has been active in philanthropic causes throughout her career. Monday’s surprise appearance continues Cardi B’s pattern of supporting community-focused charity efforts.
The Bronx native previously donated $100,000 to her former high school, IS 232 Alexander Macomb School, to fund arts programs.
The donation ensures students have access to music, dance and opportunities for creative expression.
