Earlier this week, Cardi B publicly defended former supermodel Tyra Banks after watching her show off her performance.

After a six-year hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned earlier this week with a star-studded event in New York on Thursday, October 15.
Tya Banks also marked her return to the runway, closing out her ninth Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and her first in nearly 20 years.
Cardi B attended the event wearing a flattering pastel pink bandage dress that showed off her curves.
However, the fashion show seemed to remind Cardi B of the backlash Tyra Banks received for her treatment of America’s Next Top Model contestants.
Earlier this week, she defended modeling on Instagram Live, claiming she was preparing herself for the harsh realities of modeling in the real world.
She noted that competition in this industry is fierce and most hopefuls fail to succeed. Cardi B went on to mention the mission Tyra Banks has set for the contestants.
“In a real show, they make you do that,” she explains. You have to walk around in shoes that are bigger than your shoes, so you have to hold on to your toes like this. Or you may have to wear a pair of shoes that are smaller than your feet.
Cardi revealed that she had to walk down the runway twice wearing shoes that didn’t fit her, including at the Balenciaga show in December.
“The challenges Tyra Banks has given these b#######s in the past were in the real f###### world,” she added. “The problem is, you’re all complaining because the internet has made you all weak.”
Tyra Banks responds to backlash
Tyra Banks responded to the criticism in 2000 when she and America’s Next Top Model judges pressured contestant Danielle Evans to get dental surgery , to narrow the gap between the front teeth.
“I’ve seen some insensitive posts about past ANTM moments and I agree with you,” she admitted. “Looking back, those were some very bad choices. Thank you for your honest feedback and I’m sending you so much love and virtual hugs.
In a later interview, she added, “Instead of me being on TV saying ‘You have to change this,’ I think what I should be saying is ‘You’re beautiful.'”
