Cardi B says she plans to sue the Los Angeles Police Department after an incident at her home earlier this month in which she was allegedly forced to take off all her clothes.
She recalled the ordeal during an Instagram Live broadcast on Monday (March 25), claiming law enforcement officers accused her of selling drugs without knowing who she was.
“They own all the helicopters in Los Angeles,” she said. “Yo, I was freaking out. They had me out there for like three hours. They had me out butt naked. It was fucking crazy. It was a dead movie or something, but you already knew that .
“I’m going to sue the LAPD. I told them, ‘Yo, I’m Cardi B. Do I look like I’m trying to sell something? Like why would I do that? I would never do anything like that.”
She continued: “They didn’t believe me. It was some white police officers and they didn’t know who I was. They were really hard on me and everything. They said someone gave them a tip. I really felt like this was my opponent and One of those shit, like they’re really trying to ruin my life type of shit. Like y’all have no idea. I’ve been through a lot lately.”
She then completely changed her tone, laughing and saying, “Not seriously,” before thanking fans for supporting her new single.
