Cardi B is in trouble because of the jealousy of other female rappers.
Cardi spoke to Zane Lowe on Apple Music and the reactions she received from her contemporaries.
He said: “For some reason, these bitches can’t stand it.
“They can’t be with me. There are bits, I think they’re in this class right now, they’re sophomore, I’m a senior. It’s like you want to be with the elderly.
She added: “Like you need to worry about other sophomores and then start worrying about here, fucking seniors. But, it’s something they can’t even focus on theirs. They have to focus on me. They have to focus on me. And they always focus on throwing my slings and throwing me my slings. Whether you’re a fucking Sophomore or in college with fucking Speyonging or Motherfuck, it’s my slings.”
Cardi has recently received some criticism for sampling Jay-Z’s “Fictional Player” in her new song.
Joe Budden said on the podcast: “She shouldn’t do it again. Don’t slap any of the top three on the East Coast, four rappers, classic songs and remakes. We’re going to yell at the writers. The writers are killed. It’s not about the writers. The bar is there. That’s not enough.”
The former slaughterhouse rapper added: “That delivery, those punches, that was really shaky… “Fictional Players” because you all were there, and when it fell down, Hov was a better rapper than that.
“It’s just because of the rhythm and flow and what he’s talking about, his aura and voice control. Cardi is in the same tone, the same tone, and it sounds uneven, not smooth. The bar is there, but it’s not that beat.”
She hit back by saying: “For people to dog pile on me over one song. And when it comes to dog pipeline, it’s not even just like, ‘Oh well, I don’t like this song,’ because if you don’t like this song, fine, but to come at the way I speak, to make narratives of how I think I am and who the fuck I think I am, to talk about every single piece of me, to bet on my downfall is crazy.”
