Cardi B is on trial in a civil case and is accused of assaulting security officers while she became pregnant in 2018.
Cardi B faces trial on alleged assault
Cardi’s trial began in Alhambra, California on Monday (August 25). She testified that she saw Cardi coming out of the elevator and commented loudly, “Wow, that’s Cardi B.”
According to Ellis, Cardi was hostile and faced her, shouting, “Why did you tell someone you’ve seen me?” Ellis testified that Cardi then placed his finger on Ellis’ face, vomited on her, and ordered the security department to put Ellis down.
Cardi B denies claim
Cardi refused to claim. She said Ellis tried to record her without consent and insisted that Ellis was the invader in this case. Cardi was questioned by the media when he entered the court on the second day of the trial on Tuesday (August 26). She dismissed the claims, saying she “never” touched Ellis. Cardi expects to testify today.
Ellis sued Cardi for assault and assault, intentionally causing emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment. Ellis is seeking medical expenses, losses in past and future income, punitive damages and a $25,000 civil fine, CORTTV reports.
Cardi is currently preparing for her sophomore album, I Am The Drama? 》 is expected to decline on September 19.
