Cardi B answered a burning question that many people have been asking over the past few months: She is indeed pregnant.
Cardi B announces pregnancy
Cardi B shared the news that she is expecting her third child via Instagram on Thursday afternoon (August 1). She wore a red dress in the photo that exposed her belly and had a long red fur coat draped over her shoulders. In the lengthy post, she wrote: “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to share this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most importantly What is renewing my strength!
Cardi went on to share her excitement for her unborn child, seemingly speaking directly to them. “Remind me that I can have it all!” she said. “You remind me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passions! I love you so much and can’t wait for you to witness what you help me accomplish, what you push me to do! This is so important It’s easier to accept life’s twists and turns, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth hanging in there!
In the post that seemed to confirm her recent announcement of her separation from husband Offset, Cardi B did not reveal the gender of her child. However, she will now have three children, as she currently has a 6-year-old daughter, Kulture, and a 6-year-old son, Wave, both of whom are Atlanta rappers.

Cardi B files for divorce from Offset
Shortly after news of Cardi B’s pregnancy announcement broke, reports surfaced that Cardi B had filed for divorce from Offset, her husband of seven years. A report from TMZ this morning claimed that the separation “has been a long time coming” and that the former couple have “cut all contact with each other.” Rumors of infidelity were debunked as the reason for the divorce. She is also seeking primary custody.
Cardi also filed for divorce from “Set” in 2020, but ultimately withdrew the application.
