Cardi B is set to finally receive some of the money owed to her in the defamation lawsuit she won against YouTuber Tasha K. On February 21, court documents revealed that Tasha’s legal team agreed to a payment plan of just under $1.2 million over five years. In exchange, Cardi dropped her objections to Tasha’s bankruptcy filing.
This payment covers part of the $3.9 million Tasha owes Cardi, with the rest due after she completes her bankruptcy plan. The legal battle began in 2019 when Cardi sued Tasha for defamation after the YouTuber made false claims about her. Cardi won the lawsuit in 2022, which led to Tasha being ordered to remove defamatory videos.
The case has since turned into a struggle over payment, with Tasha filing for bankruptcy in 2023. Despite attempts to dismiss the bankruptcy, Cardi agreed to the payment plan, ensuring Tasha will eventually pay off the debt.
