J. Prince spoke on behalf of boxer Shakur Stevenson, calling out Cam’ron and Ma$e for their reaction to his last fight.
The music executive announced on Instagram on Sunday (July 14) that he was Stevenson’s manager and lashed out at critics who called him a “boring” crusader. He shared an article from veteran boxing journalist Keith Idec, reporting that Stevenson vs. Harutyunyan is “the most-watched boxing main event on ESPN in 2024.”
“Numbers don’t lie, haters do,” J. Prince began. “Let the haters say he’s boring and no one wants to watch him. I’m sorry to tell you, but that’s just a handful of you haters. As you can see, there’s evidence that he’s on ESPN this year. No. 1 in ratings among all games and in the top three since 2022.

Prince then addressed Camron and Mahe directly, warning them that he would support Stevenson.
“For all the haters who want to escalate the hate outside of the ring, I am Shakur’s manager and I handle all of his affairs outside of the ring. In other words, Cam and Mays, I will fade out all of his shots and take on all of them. Bets,” he added.
J Prince tagged the Instagram account of Cam’ron and Ma$e’s It What It Is podcast, and the account was quick to fire back. They released a clip starring Top Rank’s Bob Arum claiming Stevenson wasn’t attracting hundreds of thousands of viewers because of his fighting style.

“This fight is ‘free 99’ so yes, #’s do lie sometimes,” the caption read. “N##### are outraged that we are saying what everyone else is saying (including the one who signed ‘FOH’ in #SHAKUR).”
Additionally, The Is What It Is podcast aired a clip of Cam’ron and Ma$e criticizing Stevenson on the podcast.

Cam has previously threatened to “shoot” boxers on social media. Stevenson teased the pair, joking that he would drop a diss song.
