The original version of the National Anthem fell after Game 2, but this updated version is even more pressing, reflecting the Knicks’ mentality of being behind 3-1 in the series.
The listener didn’t waste time, calling the track “Real Love Letter to the Knicks” and praised its ability to blend hip-hop and basketball energy into a gritty rally.
The Knicks responded on the court, never trailing in Game 5 and scoring in the first five games.
The victory forced Indiana’s Game 6, and New York will even try the series and hold its first NBA final since 1999.
“New York Knicks National Anthem (Remix)” dropped Thursday (May 29), and the Knicks extended their season that night.
