Louisville, Kentucky Emcee and Mobstyle Music Founder Bukshot cleverly dropped his 10th studio LP. From his long solo records to the famous people that are made up of duets and some of the underground made up of duoes, Dude has undoubtedly been putting it down for culture at this point. Double Dragon was reunited a few months ago with sophomore efforts, Shuanglong inspired Double Dragon at Little China’s Big Traable Inders and finally ended 6 months on Boondox’s latest EP Black Winter.
After the introduction of “villadictorian,” Mike Summers, aka the first song of 7-time trap openings, “Bad Guy” opens with the trap, talking about being a villain, while “I’m There” features Ill Bill’s “I’m There”, discussing the outcome of never being afraid of every opportunity and opps’. Over time, “No Fighting” kept it motivated in the basement, finding his thoughts lost further, giving the “martyr” a doomsday atmosphere to talk about handling business.
“What I see is red”, in which str8jaket compares himself to the first 12th WWE World Champion IWGPヘビー throne Dastardly talks about seeing the sun rise.
Jamie Madrox joins Buk in the spongy trap single “Tear It Off” talking about being in a stalemate and burning the entire place because their enemies don’t want to stand up, and after “My Woods, My Rules”, “Hanzel & Gredel” Skit Morbids Morbids Morbids Morbidly portrays himself as a serial killer in a hut in a forest. “Turbulence” features Lune Squad & Str8jaket, combining quartets in some hellish background vocals, talking about life nightmare and “chess” ending, with the last trap joint checking these heresy.
In this case, marking it as the first act of the Confrontational series tells me that we will most likely get a sequel or two at some point, and I don’t mind because it can be my favorite Bukshot Solo Project of a while. Even surpassed the weirdo as my new favorite. 7 balances the production of Boom Bap & Trap, rather than his recent output, Buk focuses more on the latter, and Mobstyle’s founder shows his mean side.
Score: 9/10
