Celebrities clashing on social media is nothing new and has been happening for years. Especially in the music industry, there have been many feuds over the years, many of which are still ongoing. One of the most interesting feuds on social media right now is the one between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks. The two have been arguing on and off for a while, and now the atmosphere is quite heated.

After the announcement of Diddy’s latest lawsuit, which names Yung Miami, Acker and the City Girls rapper took shots at each other. When the feud began, most onlookers didn’t think it would last. However, DJ Akademiks and Yung Miami exceeded expectations, with Miami’s latest diss track ā€œ50/50ā€ proving there’s no end in sight. Here’s a closer look at their social media feud.

December 12, 2022: The first war of words

Academicians, my name is not some asshole, so please don’t say it! You’re the kind of nigga my uncle gave a life sentence to a bitch motherfucker! ! ! ! ! ! !

— Yung Miami (@YungMiami305) December 12, 2022

Before December 2022, there was no bad blood between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks. Even if there were, nothing the two of them said or did would make it appear that there was a dispute between them. However, things changed dramatically when Diddy shared on X that he was expecting his seventh child. Yung Miami was reportedly dating the entertainment mogul at the time. DJ Akademiks was one of the many people on social media who had something to say following the news of Diddy’s new baby. However, Ak caused trouble when he involved Yung Miami during his speech. “Yung Miami is like Diddy’s side character,” he said in a YouTube video uploaded to his channel on December 12, 2022.

Shortly after, Yung Miami responded to DJ Akademiks on X. “I’m not anyone’s bystander, let’s make that clear on this wonderful Monday! I don’t come second to any bitch!” the rapper wrote. In another tweet, Miami called out Ak’s name directly, “Academicians, my name is not an asshole, so don’t say it!!! You are the one my uncle gave a life sentence for B*TCH A** N*GGA Gonna N*gga!!!!!ā€ The two continued to shoot each other back and forth on the X. In a tweet, DJ Akademiks once again called Yung Miami a supporting actor. YungMiami, on the other hand, did not flinch and responded to Ak everywhere. After an hour of communication, the two finally settled down for the day, but not long after, the two fell into a stalemate again.

After a heated exchange between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks, Diddy used X to clear up the misunderstanding. On December 13, 2022, he tweeted: “@yungmiami305 is not my costar. Never has been and never will be. She is very important and special to me and I will not play with my Shawty Wop. I Things will not be discussed online and will not begin today.ā€

Later, on December 15, 2022, Akademiks shared via Twitch live stream that he received a private message from Diddy and stated that he would stop targeting Yung Miami. During the live broadcast, the Internet celebrity said: “She is the queen and I love her. She is no longer a supporting role.” Although Acker did not directly apologize to Miami, he decided to stop attacking her and quickly regained his composure. .

May 2023: Beef starts again

Months passed without either side mentioning the other’s name. However, in May, Yung Miami took a shot at DJ Akademiks. Yung Miami’s interview on The Jason Lee Show was uploaded to YouTube on May 3, 2023. In the “Name Drop” segment, Ak is mentioned and Miami calls him a “ba**y boy,” which is an offensive insult. “The problem I have with him is that he likes to pick on women, which I don’t think is cool,” she continued.

Later, during another live broadcast on May 30, 2023, DJ Akademiks called Yung Miami out. “To me, Yung Miami is a clown. She’s a one-trick pony. She has no talent for anything else. Her only active talent is to say, ‘Yo, I’m pimping these guys.’ When you were interviewed, you cried. You [told] Didi private messaged me. “Yo, come on, he called me a supporting actor,” the academician said. After finishing in Miami, Acker spoke to Diddy and explained why he shot her. “Dad, the only reason I came back to her is because I heard her say on one of the shows that she tried to call me a really naughty word,” he said. The podcaster ended his rant against Yung Miami by saying, “Dad…respect you, but keep your girl in check.” According to XXL Mag, Yung Miami left an indirect response to DJ Akademiks. In a since-deleted comment on The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram post, Yung Miami wrote: “Baby boy.”

October 2023: DJ Akademiks invites Yung Miami to play again

In an October 2023 interview with VLAD TV, academics speaking in Miami called him a gay slur. He accused the rapper of perpetuating homophobia and claimed that people like her were largely responsible for homophobia in society. “I believe a lot of black women know the extent of homophobia,” he said. “Those guys usually have gay friends, right? Because you know, women always have a gay best friend. Let them get mad at straight people and they’ll put you down by calling you gay.”

The gay best friend Akademikes was referring to was Saucy Santana, who shot him after the interview. Shortly after Akademiks’ interview, Saucy Santana weighed in on the matter and posted a video on social media. “Academicians, you keep talking about what the fuck Caressa said to you, but how she feels about you is how she feels about you. I’m her best friend and it has nothing to do with me. At the bottom, in many In urban culture, when you see boys acting feminine, being sloppy, being superfluous, and doing shit, that’s what you call them. Even if I were a gay man, I wouldn’t act like af*g. There are a lot of other gay boys who are effeminate or whatever, but everyone doesn’t move like f*gs. You move like af*g,” Saucy Santana said.

November 2023: DJ Akademiks Takes Fire at Yung Miami for Staying Silent on Diddy Allegations

Yung Miami loud ass won’t be tweeting for 4 days…come on..don’t make it so obvious, lOl.

— DJ Akademiks (@Akademiks) November 20, 2023

While the accusations against Diddy are a hot topic right now, they have been piling up since 2023. The record executive was sued by Cassie on November 16, 2023. Later, on November 20, 2023, DJ Akademiks shared his thoughts on the matter on X, which unsurprisingly included Yon Miami. “Yummy Miami boss hasn’t tweeted in four days…please…don’t make it so obvious,” he wrote.

January 2024: Diss track and another social media exchange

YAMMSSSSS! ! ! https://t.co/9fNt7KdsH1

— Yung Miami (@YungMiami305) January 14, 2024

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only female singer to ring in the new year with a diss song. On January 14, 2024, Yung Miami teased a then-untitled new song that would be released soon. In a shared preview of the song, City Girl raps: “Academics, you motherfuckers, why are you talking about women?”

After DJ Akademiks learned of the news, another feud broke out between him and Yung Miami on social media. “When the piss on your face finally reacts? You’ve been a jerk until now…you won’t ask for more. Where did you sign? He wrote. Their fight lasted from January 16th It will last until the early morning of January 17, 2024.

February 2024: Yung Miami releases ā€œ50/50ā€

On February 9, 2024, Yung Miami released “50/50”, in which she mocked DJ Akademiks. This is her first solo album since the release of “Rap Freaks” in 2021. In the song, she explicitly takes aim at academics and spews vile remarks about the internet celebrity. “N**ga d**k little, maybe why his testicles are so pissy/Meat puller on your knees, where do you stand in this industry?/Academia, you asshole, why do you talk about women?/Yes Yeah, leave him alone/Mr. Pocket P**sy, what are you hitting?/Look at this face, I’m not one of those assholes you can hang up on,ā€ she raps. Apparently, the feud between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks isn’t going to end anytime soon.
