Bow Wow has broken his silence on the legal issues Diddy is facing and revealed that he and Jermaine Dupri have spoken privately about the matter.

During a recent appearance on the More To The Story podcast with Rocsi Diaz, Bow Wow opened up about the growing allegations surrounding Diddy, who faces sex trafficking and racketeering charges after being indicted last month. Speaking about the current vacuum in the industry due to what he sees as young, up-and-coming artists not having big friends, Bow Wow expressed his disbelief and sadness at the developments that followed Diddy’s arrest. Looking back on the situation, Bow Wow highlighted the profound impact it had on him and the industry as a whole.

“This is crazy to me,” Bow Wow shared. “I can’t, no, I never thought it would be like this – if this is the end, this is the end of the story. It shouldn’t end like this.

He continued, “To me, man, I should be on a 250-foot yacht with his wife’s legs up, chilling. That’s how you get through it.

Despite the long-standing rumors surrounding Diddy, Bow Wow admitted he never expected things to escalate to this point. He even emphasized that before he filed a criminal case, he believed Diddy was a “gatekeeper” to the industry, explaining how he felt like something was missing by his absence.

“No, he’s like the gatekeeper of the game,” Bowie said. “The weekend has come and gone, BET Awards weekend, and like the past two weekends, they just don’t feel right. No motions, no parties. Nowhere to go.

Bow Wow went on to briefly recount the specific details of his conversation with Jermaine Dupri, revealing that the two couldn’t understand how Diddy could while such criminal activity was still going on. Become an important figure in the industry like him.

“How monumental and important he was to the culture,” he said in part. “Because I said it, Jermaine [Dupri]no party. every year, man [Diddy] have [parties]. You feel it. Like a hole. It’s like, ‘Damn, we’re not going…He’s everything. Hip-hop, you know what I mean?

He added, “So to make that go away, it’s like you never thought about it, especially when you look at someone as someone, you learn from someone, you admire someone that you see The guy that, yo, when it comes to hustlers, when it comes to business and how to run your company, he’s like the guy that every young hustler looks up to and wants to be or wants to be like, “I To pass this n’###a.’

Bow Wow’s history with Diddy includes songs like “Let’s Get Down,” where the two artists teamed up to create a classic club hit. Their professional relationship transcended music, with Diddy serving as a mentor and having a major impact on Bow Wow’s development in the entertainment industry.

While Bow Wow expressed regret for the cultural impact Diddy’s downfall may have had and expressed sympathy for his children, the legal situation remains grim. Didi was arrested and charged and will stand trial on May 25, 2025.
