ESPN referenced his music in a recent broadcast to show his love for BossMan Dlow, who hopes to be invited to appear on “Sportscenter.”
When the Colorado State Buffaloes take on North Dakota State on Thursday (August 29), lyrics from DeLorean’s recent single “PJ,” featuring Lil Baby, are making their way into reports.
“In the words of Colorado’s sideline BossMan Dlow – ‘Pockets full of cheese and fresher than Febreze’! A great start!” said announcer Mark Jones.
DeLorean shared the video after a fan posted it to X, requesting an invitation to watch the network’s flagship show.
“PUT BIG ZA IN SPORTS CENTER!!” he wrote with a laughing emoji.
Put BIG ZA in the sports center‼

However, not everyone is a fan of ESPN and the way they fit into the culture.
Cam’ron and Ma$e became an internet sensation last year after allegedly stealing clips from their “It Is What It Is” sports debate show.
Last July, the two rappers accused hosts including Malika Andrews and Kendrick Perkins of using the word “cap” during an episode of “It Is What It Is,” which the network was using on some The “cap” segment was introduced in the debate show.
“This is crazy,” Ma$e said in disgust. “We need to get them back. Timeout. Malika Andrews and Kendrick Perkins, they’re going to say, ‘This hat is it, too.’ “When the hell did you start writing caps?
“Secondly, I think Malika probably didn’t know what a cap was until someone said, ‘We’re going to do a caps section.’ In order for ESPN to put a caps section in there, we just did caps and all that type of shit. Now. They have a ceiling.
Fans seemed to agree with Cam and Ma$e, with one commenting: “Don’t believe Malika and ESPN right now.”
Ironically, the episode “It Is What It Is” featured Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce, who was fired from ESPN in 2021.
To this day, Pierce still doesn’t understand being fired. “What did I get fired for? I got fired for some entertainment,” Pierce told the I Am an Athlete podcast. “I was playing cards, it was my son’s birthday, the girls were dancing, and we blew a tree, what did I do wrong?”
