Boosie BadAzz gives his take on why people shouldn’t blame Gucci Mane for the tragedies that have befallen Guwop’s past and present label artists.
Bussy defends Gucci Mane
On Sunday (August 4), VladTV uploaded a new clip from his latest multi-part interview with Boosie, in which the Louisiana rapper was asked to address the backlash Gucci Mane received following the death of his former artist Enchanting. were added to the list of artists who suffered a tragic fate during or after their time with the Gucci 1017 brand. Boosie explained that it’s not the rapper/CEO’s fault.
“The guy gave Mutafkas a chance,” Bussey says in the video below. “What a person does to themselves, that’s what they do to themselves. We grow up. Don’t put the blame on that person as if it’s his fault.”
“Come on, man. That woman gave you a chance,” Busey continued. “You might not know [the artist] If he didn’t give him a chance, he would have become a celebrity.
Boosie went on to mention his own battle with former artist Yung Bleu.
“It makes you never sign Musafka again, man,” he added.

Gucci Mane is being hailed for his actions as an artist
Over the past few years, several artists signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label have encountered tragedies and legal troubles. In January 2022, Hotboy Wes was arrested in Texas on robbery charges. He was later sentenced to 15 years in prison. In April 2022, Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to firearms conspiracy charges. The following month, Fuggiano was sentenced to five years in prison after he took off his ankle monitor while on bail on a firearms charge and went on the run.
Big Scar died in December 2022 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. FTO Sett was arrested in February this year after his bail was revoked on weapons and drug charges.
After Enchanting’s death in June, Gucci Mane’s wife Keyshia Ka’oir defended him in an Instagram post about Guwop’s passing.
“Let my husband go!” Kishiya responded. “He signed these artists to help them and give them a better life! I wish that wasn’t the case! We love you baby girl! RIH.”
