A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Boosie Badazz in Travis County, Texas. The Dogmatic Baton Rouge rapper faces charges of theft of services in an amount greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000, KXAN reports.
The charge, filed on Aug. 29, stems from an incident in June in which Busey allegedly failed to pay a driver he hired. A subpoena was issued on Friday (September 20) requiring Boosie to appear in court on October 28 for a preliminary hearing.
According to the affidavit, Bussey rented an Austin-based driving service for a few days in town. The driver drove him to Walmart to buy clothes, took him and the child to an urgent care center for treatment, and stopped at a Burger King, a trampoline park and the Round Rock Outlet Mall to shoot a promotional video. He was also driven to the federal courthouse in downtown Austin to meet with a federal parole officer.

The company claims that despite being told that Boosie Badazz would pay for services in cash, it never received payment. The affidavit also states that the chauffeur repeatedly asked Boosie and his manager about payment and later sent Hatch an invoice for $8,800, but the driver said he never received payment.
During the three-day job, Busey praised the driver’s service and posted a video on Instagram to promote the business. The driver thanked him and said he would give him “a good price, like I told your manager.” Busey then suggested that the company cancel the cost of the promotional video, and the driver said they would “find a way.” .
However, the driver assured police that “at no time before the promotional video did they agree that the service would be paid for in full.” The company provided screenshots of text messages from Boosie promising cash payments. Boosie was summonsed to appear in Travis County Court on October 28.
