Boosie BadAzz is less than two weeks away from being sentenced in a federal gun case, but he’s still hoping President Trump will pardon him.
TMZ caught up with the Louisiana rapper in Harlem on Wednesday (November 12) and asked him about his pending verdict and the possibility of Trump saving the world.
“I’m still working on it,” Busey said. “I’m still trying. As you know, I’m very vocal. So, I’m still going to ask the president for a pardon. Right now, I haven’t gotten a pardon. But, I feel confident in my situation, and I feel good about my situation.”
Back in August, Bussey pleaded guilty to a federal firearms charge that has been hanging over his head since 2023.
“I want to put this behind me and move on with my life,” Busey said at the time. “This case has prevented me from doing a lot of things and traveling around the world. So, I just want this to be over.”
Bushey has been campaigning for a pardon since Trump was elected president last November, when he urged the US president to consider his request for X.
“@realDonaldTrump can you forgive my federal case?” Boosied was questioned on X (formerly Twitter). “I am a non-violent felon. The court ruled that non-violent felons cannot be charged with 922G. The judge dismissed my case but that ruling has been appealed! So I am being sued again because I am on this case! This is exactly what our case with Duarte was ruled to be unconstitutional!!”
Boosie isn’t the first rapper to get a hall pass from The Donald. Earlier this year, Trump pardoned NBA YoungBoy. He also pardoned Lil Wayne in 2020 and commuted Kodak Black’s federal sentence.
Boosie is scheduled to be sentenced on November 21. On Friday (November 14), Boosie and YB will release a joint project called 225 Business.
