There are a lot of rumors about Kendrick Lamar filming a music video in Compton this weekend, but little concrete information. The big assumption is that this will be for “Not Like Us,” but it’s also possible it’s for another project or a track entirely, so we’ll have to wait and see. However, if it were a Drake diss track for Mustard, it would be a pretty ironic take judging by the dance’s rumored guest list. Additionally, new footage of Bobbi Althoff with YG and a large group of people has surfaced online, which led to her filming it in Compton.
Plus, she clearly stands out in the clip below, and if she was actually going to appear in Kendrick Lamar’s music video, we’re sure “Not Like Us” would point out the contrast in a rather sarcastic or sarcastic way. But it still looks weird, so we’ll need a little more context when (or if) this rumored visual drops. For those who don’t know, Bobbi Althoff rose to fame as a social media personality and interviewer with an embarrassing sense of humor and casual demeanor. This made her both loved and hated online, and also led to her being interviewed by Drake, which allegedly caused their relationship to sour, with many lewd and bizarre claims being made about them.
Bobbi Althoff Stars in ‘Bompton’, Possible Music Video for Kendrick Lamar
So if this is indeed Kendrick Lamar’s move and plan, this all sounds like a recipe from Drake’s troll master, even though it could easily blow up in his face. As we mentioned before, we need to understand the context behind it in a very clear way. Regardless, it’s part of the massive hype that’s resurrected in Los Angeles for “The Pop Out” Juneteenth, so we’ll see what happens with the alleged music video. Maybe there’s an inside joke here that we don’t understand yet.
Meanwhile, Drake hasn’t said much about Kendrick Lamar’s recent moves, other than sending a potential message to his security chief and OVO member Chubbs in an IG Story message. It’s interesting to think about his reaction to Bobbi Althoff possibly being linked to K.Dot. Does Drizzy hope to receive some due credit for Althoff’s performance, or does he expect her loyalty? Either way, we subconsciously assume that she “wasn’t like” them at some point.
