Blxst, one of the most unique sonic artists in hip-hop and RnB today, has just released his debut album, I’ll Always Come Find You.
The album features Anderson .Paak, one of the kings of this soulful style, and Offset, who arguably occupy a different spectrum in hip-hop. If that doesn’t illustrate the album’s heterogeneous soundscape, we don’t know what does.

The album follows Blxst’s two album releases earlier this year, including Anderson .Paak and Offset. Offset’s song is an interesting blend of African rhythms and auto-tuned melodies that make you feel like you’re floating on the high seas, while .Paak’s song is called “Dancing with the Devil,” in which he talks smoothly to the devil with his tongue and nothing benefit. Frankly, both of these routes set the pace for a project that was particularly in line with expectations.
While Blxst’s best-performing music to date is arguably Kendrick’s “Die Hard” from Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, this album seems likely to change that in the future. There’s no doubt that Blxst has a unique style, which is what really translates into longevity in the long run.

What remains to be seen is how well Blxst captures the niche he intends to create, and the way that niche develops and adapts to his future releases. For now, you can check out the project below!
