Director Jan Demange has dropped out of Mahershala Ali’s Blade movie, adding another hurdle for Marvel’s ambitious project.
According to The Wrap, Demanji’s departure leaves a leadership void on the project, with Marvel looking for a new director for the long-awaited reboot.
Initially, Demange replaced Bassam Tariq of “Mogul Mowgli” fame, who himself exited due to creative differences.
This marks the second time Blade has lost a director, bringing uncertainty to its future.
Marvel actor Eric Pearson, best known for “Fantastic Four,” is currently drafting the latest script. Nic Pizzolatto and Michael Green produced previous versions.
Since its debut at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, Blade has faced many challenges.
