Big Sean responded well to the leak of much of his album, although it’s not something most people have to deal with in the age of streaming. He dropped a song called “Yes” and confirmed the song’s release date as August 8, just a week away.
Ahead of the official release of Better Me Than You next Friday, Sean is back tonight with another preview of what we can expect. The new album, called “On Up,” is more soulful than the first, with the rapper opening up about everything that’s going on in his life.
“On Up” was produced by his long-time collaborators Key Wane and Amaire Johnson. It also comes with a music video featuring his close family, shot through his son’s eyes. Watch the heartfelt clip below.
