Yesterday, Big Sean performed a freestyle on On The Radar that caught the attention of many for a number of reasons. Many people heard a few of the lines and speculated they were about Kendrick Lamar. The two had a run-in several years ago but have since worked things out, with Sean saying Nipsey’s death was a factor in that.
I talked to Sean. The bar is
“I have better things to do before I have someone to complain to.”
This doesn’t suit Dortmund.
The bar is targeting another Gemini— DJHed (@DJHed) July 17, 2024
DJ Hed revealed on Twitter that he discussed the line with Sean. Sean reportedly told him the bar was for another Gemini, and many quickly put it together that it was about Kanye West, whose birthday is June 8.
Sean and Ye’s issues stemmed from Ye owing the Detroit rapper millions of dollars and belittling him at the Drinks Championship. The two have been at odds over the years, something Sean has addressed in several songs.
Earlier today, a leaker posted 14 Big Sean songs online that they claim made up his album months ago. They claim that Nas, Jhené Aiko, The-Dream and more are all on the album. The leaker then suggested that Ye was the one who told him to leak the information.

Now, Sean has responded to the leaks, saying that if his music is going to leak, he might as well retire as soon as possible. He then previewed a song produced by The Alchemist. We never want an artist’s music to leak, but if it means Sean drops the album sooner, maybe we can consider it a silver lining.
