Big Sean got in on the joke about Drake’s infamous selfie face and tried to make his own version in a recent chat with fans.
The Detroit rapper tried out the duck pout during an Instagram Live session on Thursday (August 29).
“Let me draw a Drake face,” he said with a smile, working on the look. “I’m just talking shit, man.”
You can watch the fun clip below.
Drake, for his part, has himself mocked his signature pout — though he said he didn’t realize he was doing it and even blamed Joe Budden for the effect.
Drizzy posted another selfie on Instagram on Wednesday (August 28), showing off his signature pout, along with the caption: “I don’t know what my photo or mirror face is like in life. I’m under the influence of my inherent curse.
He also posted a photo of YouTube star Duke Dennis and a young Budden, seemingly crediting them with the much-mocked selfie pose.
Dennis, who has nearly 3 million YouTube subscribers and is known for his “hood vlogs” and NBA 2K-related content, commented on the post: “Lmaooo [crying face emojis]”.
Drake replied: “@dukedennis I accept my contribution to the Mirror members…we are similar to each other.”
Ice Spice and Soulja Boy also expressed their interest in the post, while Lil Yachty poked fun at rapper Ken Carson, writing, “You forgot to add Ken Carson to this lineup.”
Drake and Joe Budden have a long and complicated history, with the two swapping various shots over the years.
Meanwhile, Big Sean and Drizzy have been friendly for years and have collaborated multiple times in the past, including “All Me” and “Blessings.”
However, Sean was definitely feeling a vibe when Kanye West praised his frenemy Drake when he signed to GOOD Music.
“I ask you, bro, how would you feel if someone owed you $500,000? And it went up to $100,000, how would you feel? Sean asked NORE in a 2021 Drink Champs interview. “What if they owed you three million? What if they owe you six? What if they show up and do all these things for them? Bragging about what? I’m talking about Drake, you know, he loves him, so when you talk about “Loyal To A Failure,” it’s not just the song, but the mentality that it had on me personally, man. .
He later added: “It’s not just about the money. It’s about the principles. I didn’t do ‘7am on the bridleway’, I didn’t put it anywhere. I don’t have any respect for people who do it publicly.” All respect for being upset. I know people go through things and make up for it, and it’s nice to see my brothers together, but for me, I take it personally.
Ye and Shawn appear to still be at odds, with the Detroit native seemingly mocking his former label boss in an impromptu performance last month.
