Big Sean surprised fans on Wednesday with a new freestyle called “Anderson Estate.” The jam is based on a new version of the “Drop” beat J Dilla created for The Pharcyde. Ultimately, it was a huge freestyle comeback for Shawn and he showed how hungry he is. There are even bars that reference the names of Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. “I think what I lack most as an artist is consistency/I just don’t have the energy to compete with my enemies,” he raps. “Or you’re all so-called big three/But every verse I sing the fans are like, ‘Man, n****s just sleep!'” When it comes to the best rappers alive, Big Sean Often left out, he wanted to change that narrative.
