If the judge grants the motion related to his probation, BG’s lyrics may need to be reviewed by a probation officer.
Prosecutors urge approval of BG lyrics
On Monday (May 13), AllHipHop broke the latest developments in BG’s legal saga. U.S. Attorney Maurice E. Landrieu Jr. has filed a new motion in the rapper’s case that points to BG’s recent lyrics, the site reports. The lyrics promote violence, drug dealing, and discourage people from cooperating with law enforcement. The motion specifically names the songs “Say My Grace” and “Waaaahhhh! The Comeback Kid.”
Prosecutors reportedly requested a hearing to address their concerns, and they will require him to provide written copies of all lyrics to probation officers for analysis and approval. Additionally, BG is prohibited from working with anyone with a felony conviction without prior court approval.
XXL has reached out to BG, BG’s attorneys and the U.S. Attorney for comment.

BG faces legal hurdles after prison release
BG was released from prison last September after serving 11 years for gun possession and witness tampering. He has remained highly productive since his release, graduating from the Hope for Prisoners program shortly after his release and releasing a joint album with Gucci Mane called Choppas & Bricks last December.
However, in March of this year, he was arrested for violating his probation. Authorities claim BG violated federal authorization when he performed with Boosie at a show in Las Vegas on February 8. BG’s attorney denies the rapper was assaulted and says he has permission to perform with Boosie.
