Beyoncé was awarded an outstanding nomination for a separate high-profile performance in the Outstanding Variety Special (LIVE) category and will be working with her husband Jay-Z for the 2025 Emmy Awards.
Her latest Emmy nod was won by her Beyoncé Bowl halftime show on Netflix during the NFL Christmas game.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s real name is Shawn Carter, nominated as executive producer of Kendrick Lamar’s Apple Music Super Bowl Lix Hemftime Show.
This is not Jay-Z’s first time at the Emmy Awards.
He previously won the same award for his production work in the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in 2022, which featured Dre Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Lamar and 50 Cent.
Carters is no stranger to sharing the spotlight during awards season.
In November 2023, Beyoncé tied Jay-Z with the most famous artist in Grammy history, bringing her career to 88 total after her genre fusion album Cowboy Carter won nine nominations.
The couple’s journey began in the early 2000s, when they began dating after meeting in the early 2000s.
They married in 2008 at a private ceremony and have welcomed three children since then: Blue Ivy in 2012 and Twins Rumi and Sir in 2017.
The 2025 Emmy Awards will be aired later this year, with winners announced during live broadcasts.
