Beyoncé’s celebrity profile is unparalleled, but the singer emphasized her role as a mother in her speech. “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician,” she pointed out. “I come here as a mother. A mother who cares deeply about the world that my children and all of us children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our own bodies, a world where we are not divided.” Before connecting with the audience Finally, she made sure to emphasize their shared values. “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing no ceiling, no limits to what’s possible,” Beyoncé asserts. “We have to vote and we need you.”
Beyoncé began turning her speech into Harris’ introduction. She introduced Harris as “the next president of the United States.” However, she didn’t perform for an audience.
